"Save Me. Save Me"
It's St. Patrick's Day in the Ashby household.... hehe... Ever since March 17th, Matthew has been (Weak Stomachs skip down two paragraphs now) projectile vomiting at least once a day. We called the Doctor's office and they told us that it was quite normal for them to vomit some of the Formula. So we didn't think anything about it, but still continued to monitor it. On Thursday, March 24, he started to vomit 2-3 times a day and continued to do this until Sunday morning when Mom called the doctor's office.
*Pause* Have you ever had trouble with your car and when you take it to the mechanic they find NOTHING WRONG WITH IT?! Once I called the Doctor Sunday morning, Matthew held EVERYTHING DOWN, and has yet to vomit! Silly boy! *Play*
The Peds doctor thought it might be Pyloric Stenosis. If it was, then we would have surgery soon. Well the ultrasound was positive, and we were shortly escorted to a room by way of Admitting.
We found out that even though he is like his dad in many ways, he is like his mom in the sense of "Hard IV Stick." After 20 minutes and brave attempts by his cousin, an IV was started and he was once again.... Passed out
So, now we wait until tomorrow for the BIG SURGERY DAY.
Ok, so if you know me, you know I have always said, "The day I give my kid a paci it will be the last resort!" Well our fellow blog readers, we have checked into the last resort and are staying in the Presidential Suite!
You know, I figured... going 24 hours without formula, getting poked 4 times for an IV, getting blood drawn, and going through surgery was a GREAT reason to give the PACI. But don't worry... once we get home.... that Paci will be gone..... :)
************Mommy Update************
Thanks to her Little Man, Mommy found out this week what Soured-Baby-Milk-Vomit taste like! Thank you Matthew! :) Until tomorrow.......
